Now that you have a pretty good idea of what boarding schools are like, you ought to know a little about our past. Not only do boarding schools have a rich tradition of providing superior academics, but also of shaping society's leaders and some of its most creative thinkers. There is a list of distinguished alumni, from which we'll draw just a few names, that provide plenty of proof that boarding schools offer a great learning, and living, environment. But just in case you've heard some of the more ridiculous rumors about boarding schools, we'll address them too. And for you history buffs out there, we added a short history of how boarding schools developed.
