Groton, Massachusetts, USA Co-Ed, Episcopal
Set on a beautiful campus less than an hour's drive from Boston, Groton offers the resources of a much larger school to 380 students in grades 8 through 12. GRACE (GRoton Accelerate Challenge Enrich) accelerates students’ academic progress during the summer between grades 9 and 10 if they so desire. Founded in the Episcopal tradition, Groton offers wide-ranging art, athletic and service programs, the variety of perspectives reflected in a diverse student body, and the unique leadership opportunity of the Groton prefect year.

Summary: The Advisor/Advisee relationship, Chapel, Global Education and Community EngagementAdvising and Counseling: Among the most important ways the faculty works with students is through the advisor system. In the first year, each student is assigned a faculty advisor who will counsel that student on virtually any question or problem. After the first year, students choose their own advisors. Chapel: On four weekday mornings, the School begins its day in the Chapel, strengthening the sense of community and offering stillness and refreshment before a busy day. Students, faculty, alumni, or guests deliver powerful Chapel Talks. Whether funny, insightful, challenging, or touching, the talks provide a window to the deeper presence that daily routines sometimes obscure. Many find their time in Chapel among their most cherished daily moments at Groton, a time of comfort, challenge, peace, and rejuvenation.Global Education: Our mission is to help Groton School students become caring, ethical, and knowledgeable citizens of the world through service learning, cultural exchanges, and travel. Our students participate in global programs that are ethically, intellectually, emotionally, and physically challenging and rewarding. Currently, Groton School has programs in China, the Dominican Republic, France, India, Italy, Peru, Tanzania, and Uganda. Community Engagement: Current students serve locally and globally through their engagements around the Groton Circle, outside of it, and beyond it. Students learn what it means to serve and how to rise to the challenges of leadership, which such service demands, through various aspects of our program—from the Chapel, to the dorm, to the playing fields, to a local shelter, and even to a rural school in Tanzania.
