Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy
Overview

At Flintridge Sacred Heart we believe a girl must first know herself in order to serve God and others joyfully. Every day we light the path for each student to pursue truth in her studies- and in her life — as she becomes a courageously curious thinker and the best version of herself. Because when we do we unlock her limitless potential to positively impact the world.

Academics
Summary: On the Hill ... we read, annotate, calculate, code and (occasionally) more! It's not just about the classes here at Flintridge Sacred Heart. In addition to a full slate of class offerings, including 27 Advanced Placement classes and electives that cover all disciplines, learning extends throughout and beyond the classroom. On the Hill ... we challenge ourselves. The supportive interaction within the school community — combined with FSHA's nurturing and challenging curriculum — creates what only can be characterized as “the Flintridge Sacred Heart experience.” When students have the privilege of learning in an environment based on centuries of Dominican teachings and traditions, the pursuit of truth—in their studies, their faith, their service, and their community—becomes the fabric of their daily lives as it has for the thousands of young women that came before them. As a Catholic, Dominican school, Flintridge Sacred Heart is committed to educating the whole person in a setting that allows adolescent girls to flourish into young women that are well-prepared for college and beyond.

Arts & Athletics
Summary: On the hill ... we dance, create, paint and perform. Whether you paint, design, sculpt, dance, sing, play an instrument or act, there’s a place for you at Flintridge Sacred Heart. And if you want to learn how to do any of the above, we’ll teach you. We believe that the arts are a pathway to knowledge, curiosity, and empathy. Every day we reinforce, challenge, and extend artistic traditions while nurturing the creative habits of our young artists. Because the dream begins in the studio and on the stage, with passionate practice, we shape dreams into reality. On the hill ... we run fast, jump high and swing hard. At Flintridge Sacred Heart, our athletic teams are more than their winning records. From the disciplined student athletes on the field or in the gym, to the devoted coaches who provide leadership, our teams contribute to our sense of community and our pride in each other.
