Student Life
As a residential school, so much of the life at Foxcroft occurs outside of class – in the afternoon and evening hours, plus the weekends. Girls often visit with friends in other dorms, which helps foster an inclusive environment across grade levels and among girls with different backgrounds and interests. Girls also learn new skills, make new friends, and participate in educational, cultural, and social outings in and around Washington, DC. Throughout the school year, Foxcroft girls attend numerous social events with other boarding schools, and also host special events on campus where students from other boarding schools are invited to attend. Each day, meals in the dining hall provide a environment for girls to connect with each other and their teachers in an informal way that fosters a strong sense of community.
