Oldfields School
Overview

At Oldfields School, we believe in the power of teenage girls, both individually and collectively. Every day, our girls build self-confidence because we empower them to take risks, participate in new experiences, advocate for themselves, lead by example, and strengthen their identity. The world needs more Oldfields graduates because our motivated, informed, kind, and courageous young women know how to navigate and lead in an increasingly complex world. Academics
Summary: Our mission at Oldfields is to provide an environment that allows each girl to make the most of her academic and personal potential. Oldfields has dedicated itself to the intellectual development of the student in line with her particular learning profile. The academic program is designed to be rigorous and challenging, as well as personal and supportive, allowing her to expand and apply her strengths while also developing strategies to manage her weaknesses. Oldfields offers a complete college preparatory curriculum. These academic goals are accomplished by providing a unique academic schedule, 5:1 student to teacher ratio, a flexible course curriculum (including honors courses), abundant opportunity for academic support, and an exceptional understanding of learning styles.

Student Life
Our small school with its big diversity - diversity of thought, talents, learning styles, ethnicity, cultures, faiths, geographic and socio-economic backgrounds - pushes students to be confident and comfortable in themselves and with others who are different from themselves. The result is a community students say is "comfortable" and "so much fun" in which "you get closer faster." Oldfields School is committed to fostering and maintaining a positive and nurturing environment for all members of the community. There are five core principles that are an integral part of our mission and our expectations: Integrity, Respect, Commitment, Responsibility, and Health and Safety.

Graduates
Summary: At Oldfields, we know the college application process can be overwhelming, and that is why we are here to help every step of the way! College counseling is an in-depth, multi-year process which helps each student prepare for and find the college, university, gap year, or post-graduate career path that fits her best. College preparation begins early in high school. We get to know your daughter and help her develop skills needed to succeed in high school, college, and beyond. Along with the college counselor, each Oldfields senior takes responsibility for her higher education plan.
