Rosseau Lake College
Overview

Rosseau Lake College is a university preparatory school dedicated to ensuring that, upon graduation, every student has the option to attend their university of choice. Our focus is on developing competence, confidence and character - the attributes that post-secondary institutions seek. Our results speak for themselves with 95 to 100% of our graduating students receiving acceptance at the post-secondary institutions they want to attend and in the programs they want to pursue. How do we do this? Meaningful education involves more than good marks. When students are accepted for who they are, each with their unique talents and personality, and live in an environment with considerate and helpful people, they learn the value of integrity and tolerance. Gaining confidence and building character through challenges and successes promotes self-esteem and the ability and desire to help others. Rosseau Lake College teaches valuable life skills beyond the typical curriculum that contribute to the development of a solid and well-rounded individual. Imagine a small class of students where everyone has the opportunity to participate in discussions and a science lab held outdoors. You can practise a musical instrument under the shade of a tree, read a book by the waters of Lake Rosseau, or paddle down the Shadow River. Play field hockey or rugby, network with friends at a student dance, or share the cultural experience of celebrating the Chinese/Korean New Year - do all of this while you achieve your academic goals. Rosseau Lake College students participate in a variety of programs and activities that support individual achievement and instill the confidence and capabilities to succeed in post-secondary education and in life. Rosseau Lake College is a small school with a clear mission. It is a place where each student matters and we speak in terms of personal growth and development not just institutional efficiency. We have a beautiful setting, with fresh air and a range of outdoor activities for every season. Still, the true measure of the school is not only the impact the personal relationships and work habits developed here have on our students throughout their life.
